Improv Scrappy quilt

Yes! I have one last finish under my belt, or rather on my wall.

Last year, I made a table runner as a Christmas gift for my aunt. I followed a Nancy Zieman’s tutorial, Heartbeat table runner, using red and white scraps. For me there’s nothing better than a scrappy quilt. Anyway, I made a few stripes, first there were enough for the table runner, and then I got carried away and produced enough for a wall hanging.

With all the end of year activities, the table runner got finished but the wall hanging went onto the UFO pile. Luckily, the Orlando Modern Quilt Guild has an accountability group for UFOs, where we finish or aim to finish one project every other month. The Christmas wall hanging made it to the top of the pile and I even managed to save some time to work on it just a few days before our trip to France. And now it’s a FINISHED object!

Here is my #creactivechallenge Project 5 done.

And that’s all it 2017.
Wishing you all a Merry Xmas, Happy Holidays and all the best for 2018!
